Romain Pawlak

Policy and Research Assistant

Romain is a research assistant at the IDMC’s Policy and Research Department and focuses on development-induced displacement and assessing the socioeconomic impact of displacement. He has conducted research on public policies and responsibility towards the human rights. His interests in integrating politics and economics to foster human development are the drivers of his work. He has a background in the private sector, having previously worked for media and trade union.

Romain holds a MA in Asian studies from the University of Geneva with a focus on Chinese foreign policy. He speaks French, English and Spanish.
